The 2015 Chevrolet Malibu is Chevy’s new entry into the overly competitive – midsized sedan niche. This new model is built to effectively compete against its competitors like the Toyota Camry, Ford Fusion, Honda Accord and the Hyundai Sonata and also get itself a good and reputable position in the automotive industry.
This new model, the 2015 Malibu, will be availed with new color coats, a great and easy to use infotainment system, an OnStar coupled with 4LTE and also a standard inbuilt WI-Fi.
To its exterior this new model will come with an evolutionary style that will be created by the new design tail lights -inspired by the Camaro and the new Chevy’s –dual port grille. The 2015 Malibu will be offered in the following trim levels; the -Eco, -1LT, -2LT, -3LT, -1LTZ and lastly the -2LTZ
Built to have a good fuel economy, this new vehicle’s base model will be driven by a 2.0l turbo charged 4-cylinder V6 engine that will produce over 196hp and 186lb-ft –torque and shall have a great EPA rating of 25mpg-city and 36mpg-highway.
For those after great performance there will be a 2.4l and 2.5l engine options whereby the latter will produce 259hp and 295lb-ft –torque. This will see the car sprint from 0-60mph in just 6.3 seconds and shall have and EPA rating of 21mpg-city and 30mpg-highway.
The former will be an Eco drive and shall use the GM’s eAssist (a mild hybrid engine) and shall have a 15kW – electric motor whose output will be 182hp. It will be powered by a lithium-ion battery making this car have an increased mileage and great EPA rating of 25mpg-city and 37mpg –highway.
All three engine options shall be mated to a 6-speed shift-able automatic transmission and shall be 2WD.
